“Diana always goes above and beyond for all customers.

Having worked with Diana I can attest to her professionalism, outstanding customer service, and dedication to her job.

Since moving to Purley Station she has always been innovative in finding ways to engage with customers and locals. From decorating her ticket office on various occasions to engaging with kids by providing balloons, stickers etc.

Diana is a proper all-rounder and she definitely deserves this award.“

Vincent Hoilett

Said the following about Diana Schiparieff:

“Diana Schiparieff has been a revelation since her arrival at Purley station ticket office last year.

Already an established ticket office staff member with experience from working at Gatwick Station and Victoria, Diana has brought to Purley a refreshing excitable and passionate behaviour with her customer service position whilst being her in the ticket office.

Diana clearly enjoys being at the forefront of her role that enables her to show professionalism, warmly meet and greet her customers, also giving concise help when required centring around tickets, general advice of the Purley area of which she knows well and confidently resolve many travel conundrums with her knowledge and experience of the railways. Diana is clearly proud of her work environment and the station she works at. Diana has exceeded beyond the prime profile of her role and made Purley station an impressive spectacle with events around our traditional bank holidays by adorning the ticket office, entrance hall and station with celebrations of Halloween to Christmas and stunningly the Queens platinum Jubilee using her own initiative hard work and funds.

Diana deserves this award for exemplary service to customers, going beyond her requirements and making Purley Station an enjoyable environment and a beacon for the travelling public and community.“

John Mirbel

Said the following about Diana Schiparieff:

“I am nominating Diana at Purley because I see that she is very helpful towards her customers, whenever I pass through on my breaks as a Train Driver. The most recent time I remember was when a customer at her ticket office counter couldn't hear what Diana was saying from behind the glass window. Diana picked herself up from her seat and made her way out onto the concourse with pen and paper in hand as well, in order to take notes. It turned out that the old lady she was serving had a speech impediment. Diana was patient and prepared accordingly to serve her with diligence employing a genuine caring demeanour. She seems to be passionate about her job and in particular shows that she will go the extra mile to bring about a smile on the faces of the people she serves.

Diana also maintains the aesthetics of the station by ensuring that the plants were well kept during these last very dry summer weeks. She also has a sense of the ridiculous with insurmountable humour and this was shown when she brought a Harry Potter's wand to work during Halloween. She created a magical atmosphere which did not go unnoticed by her customers who couldn't but help produce a wry smile.

This, in conjunction with her other numerous attributes, compels me to nominate her.“

Said the following about Diana Schiparieff:

“Diana arrived at Purley ticket office and was like a breath of fresh air. Friendly, very helpful, presentable and professional with a big smile and laughter.

Diana certainly knows her job as I observed her customer service experience during my time at Purley station.

On this one occasion the customer seemed lost and Diana went out of her way to help the customer by showing them directions from outside the ticket office.

Over many years I have worked across different stations and with many staff and like never before the enthusiastic and excited Diana approached me with an idea of which she had done herself several times before in decorating Purley ticket office and entrance hall for Halloween and Christmas 2021. On this occasion I assisted Diana with tools for her to decorate the main entrance hall with flags, balloons and bunting giving Purley station a fantastic scene for the bank holiday of the Queens Platinum Jubilee! For Diana’s cheerful pleasant and cheeky manner where she would not look out of place in any job, for presenting the company as an exciting place to work also doing more than is required of her position, Diana Elena deserves the Customer staff award.“
