Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I have had the tremendous pleasure of working with Akin since 2020 when he joined our R&D department. Throughout this time, Akin has shown outstanding work ethic by becoming an integral member of various high-stake project teams.

Akin has worked hard to support critical customer demonstrations over the summer, and his dedication to support the integration of a particularly complex system was crucial to their successful delivery.

As well as being a great collaborator, Akin is inquisitive and eager to learn new things. These are attributes which have endeared him to members of his team.

Akin goes beyond his day job, by leading our department's Publicity unit - driving the team to bring innovative ideas to reality.

Furthermore, Akin has shown strong commitments to inspire and engage young people in STEM subjects by mentoring student teams on the EDT Industrial Cadet Bronze Project.“

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I worked with Akin on a time critical and very complex project to build a system integration rig for a customer demonstration. Akin's dedication to the project was instrumental in ensuring that we delivered the customer demonstration in time.

Akin was primarily involved in the procurement, integration and configuration of the system integration rigs required for the customer demonstration. As a Graduate engineer this responsibility was beyond Akin's remit and out of his comfort zone. Akin quickly gained ownership of the tasks allocated to him and executed them as required. Akin collaborated with various team members within and outside the UK to ensure that the project deliverables and timescales were achieved.

The customer demonstration constitutes an integral part of a bid that the company submitted to a potential client. As a result of Akin's hard work, we were able to satisfy the demonstration requirements.“

David Perez Sanz

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I worked with Akin during the Spring and Summer 2022 in preparation for the demo lab which was part of a tender. To understand the importance of the task, the demo lab was a critical part of the tender, since any supplier would be automatically disqualified from the tender if we did not manage to score the required number of points during the demo.

Despite of the enormous pressure that we all could feel in terms of importance of the project and deadline, Akin’s performance was outstanding: Not only did he deliver the work that you would expect from an experienced engineer, but he also went way beyond the expected, suggesting solutions and improvements that none of the more experienced engineers could think of, and ensuring that the demo was an absolute success.

On top of his performance in such a pressure environment, working with Akin was a great pleasure at human level: He brings a good atmosphere into the team and helps making the hours in the office a much more enjoyable time. This combination of attributes makes him somebody that you will always want in your team.“

Tim Green

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I worked with Akin during 2022 on a task to provide performance analysis information for different phases of an existing product to be included in a technical report. Akin was involved in understanding the content of the source performance data, determining what data was relevant for analysis and then extracting relevant information to be analysed and converted into a human readable format suitable for the technical report.

Akin was able to very quickly understand the product and the business need for the report. He was able to work on his own initiative on this task, managing his own time in order to meet the required deadlines, whilst providing regular clear feedback during the process. Additionally Akin decided to develop a tool as part of this activity to extract the relevant data and simplify the task, which will now be used for future report updates and provide time and cost savings.

It was a pleasure to work with Akin, albeit for only a relatively short period, but it clearly showed his commitment and enthusiasm for his work and the excellent results he is capable of.“

Henda Grion

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I first worked with Akin in 2020 when he prepared and delivered a Safety presentation to college students on the lessons learnt from the accident at Clapham Junction 34 years ago. Akin showed great initiative in the way he delivered the contents, demonstrating his passion for inspiring others to adopt safe practices at work.

Further to the above, Akin is an absolute team player who always goes above and beyond to support everyone who needed him and I have never heard him to complain. I will be thrilled if he wins, because he deserves it.“

Alex Ball

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I have worked with Akin for over 2 years now and he has been one of the most dedicated and hard-working people I have had the pleasure of spending my time with.

He has shown strong leadership skills, taking charge of our internal R&D publicity program as well as being a critical member of the Tuber graduate team, helping build our virtual train network from 4 trains, to 20.

Akin is also an extremely focused solo worker, being a vital part of customer demonstrations and helping us vie for bids with potential customers.

Akin is not only an incredible worker but an excellent person to be around. He is very supportive and kind but at the same time, not afraid to point out when something is wrong, or when he does not believe in it.

It is a joy to be working with Akin and I hope to continue to do so for many years to come.“

Ify Wilcox

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I had the pleasure of working with Akin during both our graduate programmes at Siemens Mobility UK. Specifically, we worked closely developing a Digital Business Calculator for the business. The end product was designed to compare the digital services Siemens Mobility UK has to offer so that our customers can pick the right service for their needs. Akin showed both great leadership qualities and collaborative skills. His knowledge on our array of digital services guided us in showcasing the right aspects potential customers would find value in. Additionally, his ability to bring people together to a common goal and assist the team in developing a clear and concise presentation of our work was exemplary.

Furthermore, I was present during Akin's demonstration of what Siemens Mobility UK was planning to achieve upon a successful awarding of an HS2 Command and Control Signalling contract. His knowledge on Siemens Mobility UK's approach to Traffic Management Systems and associated products was impressive and his technical understanding of the products was clear to see. His clear communication skills left me confident on what Siemens Mobility UK, and Akin himself, can achieve with HS2 and beyond.“

Aris Konstantinidis

Said the following about Akin Adegbenro:

“I was lucky to meet Akin during my three-month delegation in the UK. He was the first to welcome me and made sure I was integrated well into the team. We worked intensively together to deliver a demonstration rig for a customer project.

The accuracy in his work and his attention to detail was what impressed me most. The demonstration rig consisted of a variety of complex systems. Akin worked on all of them and showed a deep understanding on a broad spectrum of railway systems. The project was on a critical time schedule from the very beginning. However, Akin always delivered to the point, even in high pressure situations. Despite the challenging circumstances and with the help of his exceptional contribution, Akin ensured a successful demonstration to the customer.

In the future I see Akin continuing to use his dedication and great people skills to further build his technical competence. I hope to see him again soon, it was a great time!“
