“Sujeet is the SRSA (South Rail Systems Alliance) West Design Manager responsible for the outline and detailed design delivery of all S&C renewals in Western and Wales Regions. Being an ongoing multi-million pound programme of work there are several domestic renewal sites being delivered at any one time but Sujeet’s trusted relationship with the local client organisation has meant that an increasing number of additional Enhancement projects are also being delivered successfully and concurrently. This is testament to Sujeet’s dedication, motivation and professionalism.

Particularly in the pandemic period Sujeet has maintained a very close relationship with the team and is the very highly regarded by all that he has dealings with. He is very hard-working and exhibits an efficient but calm management style that simply ‘gets the best’ performance from individuals.

Manish Sinha;

I joined AECOM as a project manager in Oct 20. It wasn't easy for me to switch from Aerospace to the Railways domain. Sujeet facilitated the smooth transition by structuring the commonalities between both the domains. Sujeet didn't use any jargon words to explain the prevailing processes in the railways. Breaking down the complex things into small entities is one of the key characteristics he has that makes him a very successful professional and a great mentor.

Sujeet has been central in setting up the realistic career objectives in my initial phase of my career at AECOM. He always encourages me to take additional challenges and never hesitates to offer his support where required. I believe, that’s the best way to mentor professionals who want to go extra mile.

He is easily approachable and always responds. This characteristic of a manager always helps professionals to make critical decisions in a timely manner.

I have observed on numerous occasions that where the project complexity is high, he increases his involvement and becomes part of the solution.

As my own manager I can’t fault Sujeet, he has played a massive part in my personal career growth and for that I am very grateful, I would not be where I am today if it weren’t for his dedication to my development.

Sujeet continuously steps up to the plate. A particularly prominent example was the Christmas/New Year period of 2020; where several on site issues arose during an SRSA core renewal at Nine Elms, that required last minute meetings to be held, continuous updates throughout the day and night and stringent managing of timelines and deliverables. All whilst dealing with the exceptional circumstances of Covid-19.

Sujeet always displays an exceptional level of leadership and commitment to his team and this extends to our wider Alliance partners.

Sujeet is the exemplar of a manager. From the first day he introduced me into the business through to the current day, you can see he is passionate about his work, the team, and the quality of the product that he ensures is being delivered.

Apart from delivering projects, Sujeet must also manage resources, budgets, tools, and processes amongst other things. I am consistently amazed how he does all of this, putting a lot of hard work to satisfy our delivery partners and Stakeholders on a very high-profile package of works. He is also willing to delegate and ask for support from the right place, a strong feature rather than a weakness for Sujeet. You can trust him and his integrity; if he says he’ll do something, which can be from obtaining information for you through to having a chat with one of the team to check on their well-being, you know it’s done.

As well as an excellent Design Manager, Sujeet takes personal interest in the wellbeing and mental-health of his team. During the difficult period throughout the past 18months or so, I can vouch for Sujeet taking time out from his heavy workload to personally care about his people.“
