“Heathrow Express Customer Host Simon Sidhu saved a person’s life while on duty at Heathrow’s Terminal . Simon spotted someone sat with their legs over the barrier on the top floor of the station’s mezzanine, roughly 50 meters above the platforms below. With quick thinking, Simon moved over, put his arms around the woman and pulled her back over the barrier to safety. Simon helped to calm the woman down while a passer-by called the police. The lady was visibly upset and Simon stayed with her to ensure she was safe until help arrived. It was very brave of Simon to take decisive life-saving action and recognising the difficult situation this woman must have been in, it’s right Simon deserves this award for his actions.“
