Said the following about Runcorn Station:

“The team at Runcorn deserve some recognition for their outstanding commitment throughout the covid pandemic and into the recovery stage.

We have had numerous team covid outbreaks throughout lockdown which left very minimal people able to work. Without having to ask, the team changed their plans, swapped working days and ensured that there were enough people to safely operate the station to assist our key workers in getting to work. They adapted to emergency rosters and new working practices. They also supported one another throughout the period of ‘the unknown’ when covid first hit! Not only did our team keep the station running but our superstars even managed to raise money for local food banks, local community groups and our local cancer hospice. Team Runcorn helped raise morale between other stations and onboard teams too by creating some charity videos. The first was Jerusalema for Action for children and the second was Love train for Rail Aid and they won! I am so proud of the team at Runcorn for everything that they have achieved! You all deserve praise for the hard work, commitment, teamwork and positivity that you all displayed and continue to display on a daily basis!“
