“Mark is one of our Alstom UK Installation staff working on the Crossrail West project. On 27th October 2015, Mark was on site with a member of the PC Team when they saw a member of the public trying to access the track, stating they were trying to get on a train. The individual was not fully coherent and was heading to walk on the open infrastructure, and was also carrying razorblades and in a state of discomfort (whilst being intoxicated). Mark approached the individual and calmed them down and reasoned with them to stay clear of the track, and waited until the police arrived to provide further support.
An ambulance was eventually called and the MOP was taken away.“
“Absolutely overjoyed to attend the Rail Media RailStaff awards last night. It was a wonderful event full of theatrics, great presentations and laughter. To top it off, of all the finalists, WR/RIA EDI Charter for Rail won Highly commended, alongside the fantastic Shane Andrews MBE in the HR, Diversity and Inclusion Person or team award! So so proud!! This working group truly is an inspirational space and being Vice-chair of such a dynamic group is an honour in itself.
