Said the following about Lee O'Brien:

““On Tuesday 28th June Lee O’Brien arrived for work early at 0530hrs, on his way into the building a Network Rail colleague mentioned that there was an issue with a suicidal female hanging over the bridge at Stanley Road stopping stocks from departing Kirkdale depot. Lee said that he had just passed the bridge but did not notice anything, as he had not yet started his shift he decided to head up to the scene to see if he could help. When Lee arrived at the scene he saw a woman in a distressed state hanging over the bridge and shouted to her to move away. The female was screaming for his help saying she was losing her grip and it transpired that she had hold of her friend who was on a ledge on the other side of the bridge hanging over the railway attempting to jump. Lee got out of the car and grabbed hold of the female, contacted the emergency services who were already en-route and directed them to the scene. The fire brigade were first on the scene and pulled the girl up from the bridge. The girl who was holding her friend was crying and hugged Lee and thanked him for his help, lee then left and headed back to Sandhills to start his shift.”“
