Nominations for Apprentice of the Year

Timothy Matthew

Said the following about Jyoti Jassi:

“I'm nominating Jyoti as Apprentice of the Year for Virgin Trains (VT), because her journey with us is an amazing story where her development is tangibly visible by all that come into contact with her.

Jyoti started as Receptionist at our Birmingham HQ, but she has really come into her own since taking over the reigns as Receptionist at the VT Talent Academy - Crewe. Amongst her many duties, her confidence, willingness to challenge herself and gutsy 'can-do attitude' now sees her welcome apprentices, traineeships and staff applying for promotion at the Talent Academy - a position she herself was in a very short time ago. Jyoti manages our new recruit training experience from sending out joining instructions, managing their training timetables, organising uniform and being a point of reference until they go to their respective station/depot/post. Jyoti competently fulfils her duties at the Talent Academy from managing Uniform Stores to note-taking in high-level meetings; from welcoming guests/visitors to being the general 'go-to' person for all who pass through the Academy. Jyoti is an integral member of the Talent team and it's astonishing just how much she has developed, continues to develop and nurtures her passion to succeed in all that she does. I commend Jyoti Jassi as VT's Apprentice of the Year!“
