“Jo Taylor has been Customer Service Manager (and my manager) at Bournemouth for some 5 years, and during that time has shown herself to have qualities and skills above and beyond the norm. She manages a large team of over 40 front line staff, and does do with fairness, enthusiasm, obvious commitment to the job, whilst at the same time taking a real interest in all the Train Managers and Catering Staff as 'people' in her team.
Jo is also involved in other initiatives including staff training which involves travelling to and working from different locations. Jo has excellent interpersonal skills and knows just when to act and when to show a degree of discretion for the common good, without compromising on safety or integrity.
As an individual she has excellent interviewing and interpersonal skills and knows how to develop rapport and engender excellent team spirit. So I am happy to nominate Jo for this award,“
