“Currently working within the Infrastructure Services team of Bridgeway’s Consultancy Services Department, Farhan exhibits many of the key attributes worthy of the title Rail Manager of the year.

Farhan was so committed in his desire to get involved in rail engineering that he started work on a voluntary basis. It was not long before his dedication and abilities were recognised by way of full-time contract.

With no previous Rail experience, Farhan fast-tracked his understanding of all things rail by getting out on track wherever possible and following up his initial PTS with other competencies to his current level as COSS/IWA and Lookout.

Farhan is an experienced structural examiner and extensive experience carrying out Inspections for Assessments, Abnormal load assessments and structural assessments of various structures within the railway environment.

Farhan was given the opportunity to use project management skills attained in his Masters Degree (MEng Engineering Project Management) in the role of Assistant Project manager. His dedication and focus saw him excel in this position and he has extensive experience delivering projects for Network Rail Building and Civil Design Groups, and large packages of work under the CEFA and CAFA contracts.

Farhan is proof of what hard work and dedication can achieve in the Rail industry. Since graduation, he has become a proficient examiner with the capability & maturity to lead teams onto the rail infrastructure as a COSS.

Farhan has a good appreciation of the need for all work to be carefully planned and of his responsibility to keep his team safe at all times.

Communication is a key strength for Farhan and is the reason he has established good relationships in the industry and has a reputation for excellent delivery.“
