“Chris works as a revenue protection officer for Southeastern railway and is a well respected member of his team. One morning Chris was working amongst his team conducting ticket checks at a station where a male entered the booking hall and staff begun speaking to him where the male than stated he was going under the next train. Chris immediately took the male to one side and started talking to him. Although compliant at first the male then attempted to push past Chris in order to gain access to the platforms. Chris continued to intervene in a calm and professional manner moving the male away and continuing to talk with him. Chris spoke with the male for approxiametly an hour if not longer gaining information that would be needed by the police whilst listening to what the male had to say. Chris was non-judgmental and went above and beyond within his role helping to save the life of a young man on the railway. Chris demonstrated continued professionalism and acted quickly preventing a tragedy.“
