RailStaff Awards: Rules / Terms & Conditions

1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 This Competition is owned and operated by RailStaff Publications Limited (hereinafter referred to as "Our", "Us" and "We"), registered number 03084356, whose registered office is Leopold Villa, 45 Leopold Street, Derby, DE1 2HF, who operate from Rail Media House, Samson Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, LE67 3FP and whose telephone number is 01530 565700.

1.2 The following are the full Terms and Conditions for the RailStaff Awards ("the Competition").

1.3 Please ensure that you read these Terms and Conditions carefully since your entry into the Competition is strictly subject to them and they detail the circumstances in which we may be entitled to withhold prizes and disqualify entrants. By submitting an entry for the Competition, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.4 We reserve the right to cancel or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice and by participating in any Competition subsequent to any revision of Our Terms and Conditions, you agree to be bound by such changes. Any amendments or cancellations will be posted on the website www.railstaffawards.com/nominate.php

1.5 We reserve the right to disqualify your entry if we have reasonable grounds to believe that you have breached any of these Terms and Conditions.

2 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

2.1 To qualify to enter the Competition You and your Nominee must be:
(a) resident in the United Kingdom;
(b) be able to comply with all of Our Terms and Conditions;
(c) be at least 18 years old.
(d) Nominee´s can be either a person or a team of people (Companies and Stations are disallowed)
(e) nominating someone for an event which took place between 1st January 2024 and 9th October 2024.

You and your Nominee must not be:
(f) an employee, an agent or a director of RailStaff Publications Limited;
(g) any associated company or subsidiaries of the Rail Media Group;
(h) any member of any of those parties' family, as set out in Clauses f and g.
(I) a judge for the competition;
(J) competitive Media
(K) non-human

3 COMPETITION FORMAT

3.1 The Competition will commence on 8th February 2024 at 00.01 and will close on 20th October 2024 at 00.01 and no purchase is necessary.

3.2 Any entries which are received outside the period set out in Clause 3.1 shall be refused regardless of the reason.

3.3 All applications to participate in the Competition must be made on the official entry form located via the website www.railstaff.co.uk/awards

3.4 All required fields of information must be completed accurately and in full for an entry to be processed and accepted.

3.5 Self nominating is disallowed.

3.6 We shall have sole discretion regarding acceptance of your entry.

3.7 You will be asked to submit relevant personal details and detailed information of your nomination entry.

9 YOUR LIABILITY TO US AND YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS

9.1 You agree to fully indemnify Us in respect of all liabilities, damages, claims, actions, expenses, demands or costs incurred by Us due to your misuse of the Website or any breach by You of Our Terms and Conditions.

9.2 Nothing contained in Our Terms and Conditions shall affect any statutory rights which You may be entitled to as a consumer.

10 YOUR DATA

10.1 Your personal data will be used solely in accordance with the current data protection legislation. Please click here to view our Privacy Policy which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

11 GOVERNING LAW

11.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

12 TICKETS

12.1 Tickets can be purchased for the event by visting the website (www.railexec.com) or phoning the Rail Media office (01530 816 444)

12.2 There are a variety of ticket options available for purchase

12.3 The guest name on the ticket can be transferred; this needs to be notified to Us in writing no later than 2 days prior to the event

12.4 Tickets can not be transferred to another event

13.1 For all enquiries, comments, feedback or further information please contact [email protected]

13.2 All enquiries regarding the Competition must be received within 28 days of the closing date of the Competition, as set out in Clause 3.1.

14 JUDGING PROCESS

1 Nominations are made / verified and set live on the Awards website

2 The public then vote for their favourites to produce our top 15 finalists from each category.

3 The top 15 finalists are then put forward to our judges who consist of Independent Industry Judges and 19 x Category Sponsor.

Our judges will be looking for examples of the following qualities:

Approachable, Bravery in their role, Cheerful, Charitable act, Dedication, Determination, Efficient, Enthusiasm, Flexibility, Friendly to co-workers and the public, Going above and beyond their role, Hard working, Helpful, Initiative, Knowledgeable, Proactive, Professionalism, Responsible, Safety, Team player.

4 The judges results are then collated to produce our winners for each category.
