“Damien was involved in disruption recently on the network which resulted in all trains in his area being held at a standstill. The delay was due to a suicidal boy walking on the tracks. The boy came past Damien's train and with great care and sympathy he managed to persuade the boy off the tracks and onto his train to a safe place. The boy was obviously in a bad way, but Damien's calmness under pressure potentially saved his life.“
