It would have been far easier for Ben to have ignored his instincts, just walked by and decide that the man was probably OK, just had one too many drinks maybe?
Ben worked through the initial hesitant discussions with him, never giving up, and remaining calm and compassionate enough for the man to feel able to cry and admit his suicidal intentions.“
