Said the following about VHRL Safety Team:

“In 2019, the VHRL Safety Team have taken health and wellbeing to the next level and included this as one of their first safety campaigns at the start of the year. Since then, the team of safety advisors have travelled the length and breadth of the country in their specialist safety vehicles. On board the vehicles have been a very important piece of kit – a health check machine. This health check machine that the company has invested in, Vital Human Resources is bringing health assessments to its workforce.

Their specially-trained health and safety advisors offer health checks to not only its own workers, but any industry colleagues who can be encouraged to step forward. Blood pressure, body fat, visceral fat, body mass index, bone mass and metabolic age are all measured using health testing equipment by having workers place their arm into one machine, step onto another and also input data such as height and age into a computer programme.

After the five-minute test, results are privately fed back to the user by H&S advisors, who explain what the information means and what they should do to reduce potential health risks. More than 500 check-ups have already taken place since the health machine first hit the road, including on senior leaders at a recent meeting of the Track Safety Alliance.

Vital is committed to take on more responsibility for worker health and wellbeing.“
