Said the following about Steven Burke:

“Steven takes immense pride in himself and how he performs at work and being genuine is clearly one of his natural strengths and he probably does what he does on a daily basis without even having to think about it.

Steven does this naturally just by being himself, he is a pleasure to work with and he is an example employee who doesn't shy away from his duties, he takes pride in his station and this is reflected with how it is maintained.

Steven is a great example of a genuine employee, he consistently displays that he is takes pride in his job and how he carries out his duties.

It was difficult to pick just one category for Steven as he not only displays that he has an awareness of all the values but it's clear to see that he naturally incorporates them in to his day to day actions, he has built great relationships with not only his colleagues and Managers who think highly of him, but with customers too. He knows all his regulars by name and takes time to interact with them when possible.

Steve isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and doesn’t complain when he has to, he tackles any situation head on and sees it through to resolution.

Steve has a 'can do' attitude and sees the benefit of adding as much value to the role as possible. He consistently engages with his colleagues and embraces the company values in order to achieve results. He does this year round whenever he sees challenges he might be faced with.

Steve has an exemplary attitude to his work life, and makes particular effort to get along with his colleagues to ensure high levels of service through a motivated and happy workforce.

As previously stated, Steven does this on a daily basis and consistently displays an exceptional attitude towards his job. He takes great pride in the work he does and is dedicated to giving our customers the best service and performance he can, during both normal service and degraded service when he is on duty.

Steve is quite simply a go to guy for customer, staff and managers. He is consistent in his approach to his role on a daily basis, year in year out.

Steve is a credit to Merseyrail, a real Ambassador for the customer services team & an example for us all to follow.“
