Said the following about Monica Truta:

“Monica has been a breath of fresh air to the team not only by bringing in her knowledge and skills but also a different giving a perspective on what it’s like inside and outside of Merseyrail. Her knowledge and skills have helped the team move forward and armed with information that we previously have not had we have been able to become a more effective unit able to provide the business the information they need in an efficient and timely manner.

Monica is responsible in providing assistance to the HR team and wider business in providing key reports and KPI data for the business on a period basis and is the HR super user for the Merseyrail Loop writing and updating relevant articles. This role is a vital link between the functions in supplying information and analysis when required.

Monica joined the people systems team in May of 2018 which was her first role in the UK. She quickly adapted to the culture of Merseyrail whilst utilising her knowledge from previous roles.

From the first few days it was noticeable that Monica was not willing to accept the norm and was very comfortable in effectively challenging anyone in order to gain the understanding of why we do things. Once she gained this knowledge she has been able to develop more effective reporting for the business and has brought a greater understanding of how we can use data effectively.

Monica has a need to understand what she is reporting/working on which is very refreshing. She feels that she is not doing her job effectively if she doesn't understand the, what and why of her reports and this is second nature to her.

Monica is very methodical and likes to process any request thoroughly in her mind before acting upon it. Then once she understands the requirements she works through calmly and efficiently to come to the end result.

Understanding key KPI data is vital for the business. Monica has brought a wealth of external experience into the role and has not only improved our reporting capability within HR but also has developed excellent relationships with key stakeholders giving them the assurances they require.

Monica has been a breath of fresh air to the team not only by bringing in her knowledge and skills but also a different giving a perspective on what it’s like inside and outside of Merseyrail. Her knowledge and skills have helped the team move forward and armed with information that we previously have not had we have been able to become a more effective unit able to provide the business the information they need in an efficient and timely manner.“
