“A member of the public, aged 14, who had underlying learning difficulties, attempted to jump onto the LUL track at T5 Rail station. He was alone in the station as he had lost his father who he had been travelling with. He was intercepted by Mary who was the manager on duty. She prevented the young adult from jumping onto the track and took him to a place of safety away from the platform.
Mary has been nominated for this award as she prevented a young adult who was alone and with learning difficulties from causing harm to himself which could have been fatal. She saved him and kept him safe until he was reunited with his father.“
