Said the following about Josh Paterson:

“Josh has been nominated as is without doubt the standout apprentice in Engineering, having won Northern’s Apprentice of the year, due to his attitude, ability and manners. His work ethics are first class. He listens, asks questions which show understanding then produces results. His standard of workmanship is excellent. A please to teach and train has been the feedback from his tutor.

He has proactively gets involved in tasks and is a dependable team player, he views problems as a challenge and never shies away from difficult tasks. Josh happily shares and applies lessons learned, best practices and contributes to the learning of other apprentices. Josh is a year 2 apprentice and wishes to demonstrate the right skills and behaviours to other apprentices. A current example of his ability to learn is he started working on the Class 156 project, when working with the Depot inspectors used his own initiative to think through what was being asked to understand the requirement for fixing the fault. Josh builds good working relationships and views himself as a natural leader.“
