“I would like to nominate Jo Ronson, my onboard services manager, for this award. I am nominating Jo because of the amazing support and dignity she has shown me through what has been the most difficult year of my life.
For the past year, I have really struggled with social anxiety. I have had to have time off work due to the affects it was having on my role. Through my darkest of days Jo would listen to me and guide me along the best possible path. Not just in the interest of the business, but for my own personal benefit. Jo was always available for me to contact, whether it was her day off or not. If I needed someone to speak to, she was there. Jo went above and beyond to ensure I was supported by our Employee Assistance Programme, organising my Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - A therapy which has changed my life.
Without Jo’s support, it’s hard to think about where I would/wouldn’t be today - what I do know is there is no possible way I would be on the road to recovery that I am, or as happy as I am today. I couldn’t have asked for a better level of support throughout some of my darkest days.
There aren’t enough words to thank Jo, but I do believe this award will go some way in doing that.“
