Said the following about Ferdinand Vendil:

“Ferdi is a fantastic ambassador for the company. He has worked with us for 20 years and not had one single day's sickness! Nothing is a problem for Ferdi, He cares for what he is doing, our customers and his fellow team members. Ferdi thinks ahead, he is a great problem resolver and is passionate about customer service.

Ferdi is a consistently high performer within the service centre. Specific areas are:

· Flexibility in helping to cover shifts to ensure a consistent service is delivered

· Making a big effort to ensure that platform customers are helped with their luggage etc.

· When there have been short notice destocks of trains, thinking ahead on how best to manage the situation and thinking about the impact it will have on his colleagues the next morning to reduce this as much as possible

· Actively contacting RSMs and trains where there are faults with the boiler to ensure that they are met with replenishment of hot water

· Bringing ideas and solutions but working these through to delivery. For example, Ferdi identified an improvement to the way in which the order of stock checks are undertaken. Having identified this improvement Ferdi then took the time to make the relevant changes for the team to then start using to make the process better

· Several instances of helping to support staff who maybe struggling with certain aspects to gain their buy in

Ferdi, in his Customer Service assistant role covers our train dispatch, customer Service and Catering make up and delivery to our trains.“
