Said the following about Fabrizio Russom:

“Fabrizio was going about his day-to-day duties at Stratford International when he recognised a young girl who had been reported missing to the BTP by her father. Naturally, the father of the young girl was fraught with worry and anxious to know about the location and wellbeing of the youngster.

Fabrizio made the decision to approach the girl, whilst considering that he did not want to alarm her, so he approached and asked if the young girl was ok. The young girl responded to say that he lived in Canterbury and needed to get back home to her father. Fabrizio took the contact details of the father and personally made the call to tell the father that he had found the young girl, she was safe, well and wanted to return home. Fabrizio also assured the father that he would personally ensure that the young girl would get on the correct train to Canterbury and gave details of where he could meet her at the other end.

Fabrizio then took an even greater step above and beyond and paid for the young girl to travel home out of his own pocket and then made a follow up call to the father once he knew the train had arrived to ensure that they had been reunited.

The father of the girl then contacted customer services of Southeastern to thank Fabrizio in assisting getting his daughter home safely.

This is a wonderful example of one of our staff members not only paying extreme attention to detail, by recognising the girl in the first place, but also took admirable accountability to reunite the young girl and her father.“
