Said the following about Dylan Thomas:

“Whilst waiting for his train at the station train manager Dylan Thomas noticed a person on the tracks south end of platform 4. He quickly notified the driver who used his camera on his phone to zoom in as they couldn't distinguish if it was a track worker or member of the public. It became apparent it was in fact a member of the public standing in the 4 foot between platform 4 & 6. Dylan then grabbed his Hi Vis vest and joined the driver and ran towards the male on the track. On their way Dylan notified platform staff to ask the signaller to stop the trains and called for BTP. Both Dylan and the driver used their Red lights to stop on coming trains. At this point BTP were on sight and joined them. Between them they tried talking to the male but was met with abusive language and told not to come closer as he basically wanted to end his life, he was edging towards the viaduct and both Dylan and the driver managed to get around the back of him just in case he tried anything whilst the BTP were talking to him. After about 25 minutes the BTP managed to convince the male to return to the platform. Dylan, driver and BTP then reassured him he wasn't in trouble and would get the help he needed. I do believe Dylan and the drivers actions potentially saved his life and would love for them both to be recognised for their quick thinking and caring attitude.“
