“I would like to nominate Unice (Joe) for his outstanding customer service which went above and beyond what we normally expect. His willingness to help people is second to none and he would regularly go out of his way to offer fantastic customer service, even during disruption. During the timetable change in May we suffered from a horrific service and Joe still managed to receive praise from passengers regarding his service. I have attached some examples below.

I would like to say how wonderfully helpful hard working and resilient one of your colleagues are- based at Manchester Vic - I think his name is Joe and has been based on platform 6 this afternoon. He has tried us up most best to help people and keep us updated despite cancellations and delays.

“Joe who was on duty at 9pm this evening, what a star, a real hero looking after me & my daughter when the trains to Burnley were cancelled. He very kindly let me use a little office to charge my phone (it was on 1% after a long day & I had forgotten my portable charger) so I could work out the alternatives to get home. My daughter got upset due to the cancellations & he got her some crisps & a Kit Kat which cheered her up no end! He very kindly called a taxi company to get prices & escorted us right to the taxi rank outside the station to meet the taxi when it arrived! He even payed for the taxi as I didn’t have enough money!!

Joe, you went above and beyond for us, acts of kindness such as yours are very rare these days and I will always remember it. I hope you found the little note my daughter left in the office for you!
