Said the following about Tony Woodman:

“Tony has worked for the railway for over 45 years, first starting with British Rail. Not only does he play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of Bristol Temple Meads but his calm and collected manner allows for everyone at the station to be at ease even in times of disruption.

Keen to support his colleagues, he has become a regular contributor to messaging groups across the region, ensuring up to date information is always passed on to those who need it, reducing the queries raised with control.

He is a permanent fixture of the station and his infectious manner always lifts staff spirits. You will catch him signing in the office in between making regular announcements and maintaining the operational control of the station.

Tony lives and breathes the railway and is often seen on the platforms helping customers in his own time, aiding without question to alleviate crowded platforms and supporting our station colleagues. He has given his life to the railway and has no intention of stopping.“
