Said the following about Tony Tuohy:

“Tony has for the last 12 years organised a charity golf day. This year it was for Breast Cancer Research UK. He brings together teams from all different functions of the rail industry, to raise money for a good cause and help to build better team working relationships between functions and companies, whilst having fun!

Tony also includes the widow and mother of a Track Team member who was killed whilst working on track. Thirza Wilkinson, along with Sarah Wilkinson have presented the golf day trophies for the last 12 years.

“T” lives now on the South Coast her son Jason was killed on the Railway in 2005 when struck by a Train whilst working on the track at Acton. Thirza along with Sarah who was married to Jason have always turned up to lend a hand and present the trophies and keep as company in the bar!

She now also has her daughter Georgia who is now 3 years old to assist with the presentation. This keeps his memory alive in the Railway Family and hopefully extends the lives of others from money raised to help with Cancer Research. Tony organises this event every year alongside his own busy work schedule. It has helped improve team building and an understanding of the charities he has been raising money for“
