“We have had a very difficult year at Piccadilly. Having to implement training for new traction and routes at the drop of a hat, coping with a huge influx of new drivers, under resourcing and major changes to working arrangements for our drivers.
Throughout all of this Tara has done everything within her power to make these plans work and do all she can to keep the railway running. Tara supports her drivers and colleagues constantly; providing direction, a confidential ear and friendly support whenever needed.
At the end of 2017 I had to deal with an operating incident that unfortunately resulted in me suffering from PTSD and needing counselling. Tara was there to give me a hug and support at the time and then supported me throughout my period of suffering. She helped me by giving me the space and time I needed to heal and then supported me in regaining my confidence.
Tara regularly works long hours and routinely works from home in order to keep on top of the workload.
Her commitment to our customers and determination to do the best she possibly can is an example for all of us to aspire to.
Without her as a colleague by my side this year I would have gone under. I owe Tara more than words or money can ever repay.“
