Said the following about Steve Parker:

“I would like to nominate Steve Parker for his contribution and dedication to training Steve takes a lot of pride in his work he is a progression meant for Princes trust helping lots of young people learn and develop often in his own zone time.

Steve also mentors new and upcoming managers and also works with existing managers teaching new styles and methods of working Steve also spends a lot of time researching new best practices in the workplace to help the understanding of which the business can grow and develop.

Steve also encourages thinking outside the box in order to get yourself believing in you just because a method has been used for years doesn't mean it can be improved Stephen empowers managers and colleagues to think for themselves by planting seeds in their minds this helps to develop new skills and the confidence to ask why?

Steve delivers the company induction to all new recruits relaying company goals values and expectations. I believe that Steve has great pride in doing his job and I believe this is why Steve takes time out of his own day to go round stations to deliver and upkeep the messages he has delivered in his workshops to all new recruits and current employees.

Steve is an advocate for the Get into Program which is run with Princes Trust, he is on hand from day one, interviewing, training and developing these young people who wouldn't normally have an opportunity.

Steve is such a caring an charming man, who puts everyone a ease, I estimate that Steve has help over 160 young people have a chance working on the Railway, with this programme.

Nothing is ever too much with Steve, he is committed to his field and also committed to help other achieve greatness. Steve helps every grade of employee and is an internal Coach, Progression mentor and advocate for employee engagement.

We feel that he should not go unrecognised for the 1000s of people he helps, from inductions, mandatory courses that he delivers, Princes Trust training, Coaching and Mentoring.

Therefore we feel that he should be award recognition for his outstanding commitment to help other develop.“
