“I would like to nominate Slough and Maidenhead area station team for their ongoing hard work and commitment to their customers. They have had a lot of stress this year related to Royal Wedding as well as the annual Henley Regatta. It is always a pleasure to see how the management together with the front line colleagues put in a lot of extra hours to work over the weekends (despite tremendous heat this year) to ensure everyone is having the best travelling experience possible. Due to those two very stressful events that require a great deal of planning the team fall easily victims of complaints, which lead to investigations. Some of those can be easily undeserved as despite their best efforts it is extremely difficult to manage everyone's expectations under so much pressure. I admire the team's strength of character and ability to accept the hardships of their job roles. They continue to smile every day and can make everyone feel welcome at the station even when rushed off their feet. Thank you for all your hard work Slough and Maidenhead area team!“
