Said the following about Simon Tredget:

“Simon was alerted by a member of the public whilst working the gate line at Stratford International that a passenger was lying on the platform unconscious. Simon quickly took action and made his way to the passenger to find a young male of 18 years old face down, unconscious and covered in blood with a very damaged face, broken nose, black eyes. Simon quickly asked his colleagues for assistance and called the emergency services. Simon ensured that the passenger was breathing, not chocking and checked for any medication which he had epilepsy tablets on him. Simon was able to rely all of this information to the emergency services whilst ensuring that the passenger was clear of the platform edge, comfortable and warm. The passenger was unconscious for over 20mins and in this time Simon did not panic and remained calm at all times. The passenger left the station after 30min with the ambulance service drifting in an out of consciousness however without the quick thinking actions of Simon this could have been a very different story. The CCTV showed the passenger falling luckily away from the edge of the platform and he was only spotted by a passer-by. The passengers face was clearly broken in many places where he fell but Simon was able to ensure that his airway was kept clear.“
