Said the following about Scott Miles:

“Scott was working the late Station Supervisor shift at Snow Hill on Tuesday 6th August 2019. At approximately he received a radio message from a colleague on platforms 1 and 2 that a customer had collapsed in the waiting room. Scott immediately went into action grabbing the first aid kit as he was leaving the announcers office on platform 3. He then received a further radio message to advise that he should bring the defibrillator also. This he did and made his way up the stairs and over to the platforms 1 and 2. Scott rapidly realised that the customer was having a heart attack (as he thought) he proceeded to use the defibrillator, give CPR and mouth to mouth until the ambulance crew arrived. Scott saved this customers life as at one point the gentleman did die and with Scott carrying on with what he was doing he was resuscitated. The ambulance crew removed the customer, who was still alive, and took him to hospital. It transpired that the gentleman was having a cardiac arrest and he was placed in an induced coma. The gentleman’s colleagues have been back to the station to update us. Scott's actions undoubtedly saved this man’s life and his quick thinking ensured that he had the best chance of survival possible. Scott is a credit to him team and the company and performed an amazing act and deserves to be recognised for this.“
