“I would like to nominate Sarah Knox as she has been there day & night to support me through an extremely difficult time.
I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after an incident at work that involved a suicidal person who tried to take her own life & mine as she attempted to jump in front of an oncoming train.
Sarah was there to support me whenever I needed it, by answering my calls, attending meetings, involving senior management when needed, she found me in the car park once in absolute bits unable to speak, she gave me the time and support that I needed to a point where I was able to calm down and tell her what was going through my head.
Sarah has been with me on many occasions where I have been having flashback she has been able to bring me out of the flashbacks and back to a sense of reality. I felt safe and comfortable whilst working with Sarah which reduced my symptoms as a whole.
If I didn't have the support of Sarah & my colleagues I can definitely say I would not be who I am today & still working on the railway. Thank You Sarah for saving me!“
