Said the following about Rosie Alexander:

“I am nominating Rosie for this award as she is a supportive manager who never undermines her team and strives for excellence on all levels. Rosie has high standards and expects the same high standards when it comes to completing projects from members of her team her team. Rosie manages to get the best out of her team, which I am part of, by never undermining decisions her team make. Rosie always offers guidance and advice to make our work better but leaves the final decision to how our work is completed or presented to the wider business/industry down to those she manages. This is a rare quality of a manger in my experience in business and many businesses/departments could learn from Rosie on how to get the best out of their teams by trusting them to deliver projects on time and being that guiding hand.

Rosie has developed her team to a level that many different departments now look to our small team of 3 persons for advice and guidance on many areas of the business, even on areas we are not subject matter experts. Rosie has develop the team to have an ethos of 'We are not the experts in everything, but we will try and point people in the right direction if we do not know'. This has helped build good relations within GWR and Rosie's team is fast being recognised as a reliable, helpful team and this has only be achieved by Rosie's gentle guiding hand to encourage her team to be knowledgeable and experts in their field and above all honest.“
