“Pete has been responsible for managing the retail interface on the London Bridge Station Redevelopment for over six years. During his time on the project he has worked hard to manage the challenging interface between the project construction works and the Network Rail Property Retail team whilst always maintaining a positive attitude and a good relationship with retail stakeholders.
Pete continues to demonstrate his commitment to safety by taking it upon himself to ensure that appropriate CDM arrangements are in place for all retail fit out sub-contractors, which has been a challenging process as the project principal contractor remains PC for all areas in the station. He continues to educate all members of the team on these arrangements and the process is now successfully embedded within the team. As well as all his work with CDM, Pete ensures that project safety messages are cascaded to the Network Rail Property team and works to date have been delivered with no major incidents involving retail fit out contractors.
To date, Pete has managed the safe handover of 66 retail units to Network Rail Property, 27 of which are now trading. His hard work and commitment to the project has been instrumental in transforming London Bridge into the high end retail destination it is set to become.“
