“Paul has worked within the rail freight industry since 1990, starting out as a Tops Clerk and working in practically every department since then, his knowledge is unending and he has a selfless desire to share this with not only his teams but with all employees at DB Cargo to enable us to solve problems, and achieve the best for the company whilst motivating and empowering us to become successful which is inspiring. Paul makes sure we are at all times supported, whether he is physically around us or not his presence is always felt. Our mental wellbeing is at all times his priority, he encapsulates within us a team spirit that is unbreakable. His positivity and passion for the rail freight industry is obvious, as a team we follow his lead not because we fear him but because we want to, the last 18 months have been long and difficult after a large company reorganisation but as a team we have faced the many challenges this has brought and with Paul’s support we have rebuilt and become s much improved unit and have a leader in whom we trust, follow and respect. Paul deserves to be recognised for his hard work, determination and true leadership skills for putting us first and creating a warm, welcoming and enjoyable work environment god his teams.“
