Nominations for Station Staff of the Year

Marijana Vidic

Said the following about Neil Wildman - **HAS LEFT**:

“I would like to nominate one of the most dedicated people within front line members of staff: Wildman Neil

Neil Wilman is absolute star when it comes to Focus on Customer Service. Always out and about actively engaging with the customers who need assistance. I must add he is not just there for customers but for his colleagues too, he is one person who is able to work in different departments and never turns a job down, an amazing team player.

I could give you a number of examples when Neil Wildman has gone above and beyond his day duties to assist someone and here is just one:

During Easter time we have been struggling to cover some turns. Neil kindly, as usual, helped us and stepped up to cover Team Leader turn. This doesn't stop here what Neil did next it is simply mind-blowing and goes beyond every expectation. Young autistic girls travelling on her own was stranded in London as she lost her ticket and had no money to purchase new tickets. Neil spotted her in the massive crowd, the station was extremely busy as it was Maundy Thursday. He approached her and took her to safe and calm place. Recharged her phone, used his own phone to ring her carer arranged funds to be transferred via Cash-point purchased a new ticket for the young lady, made sure that she is well and fit for travel, also got her some food and snacks for the travel using his own money. This could have ended potentially as a different scenario but thanks to Neil being proactive and thinking on his feet this scenario had a happy ending for our passenger. A number of times Neil has helped customers either by using his own money to purchase tickets or going above and beyond to help them it is simply unbelievable. Neil is a true gem and credit to Virgin Trains Family.

I truly hope Neil will be considered and win this award as he deserves it.“
