“What Makes the Railway Great Is its People.
When times get tricky and you’re in disruption you need a person like Natalie. Natalie works at Hitchin station and during disruption and at a time where her team had been hit hard with a day full of struggles.
Knowing this day had hit her team member spirit, Natalie wanted to lift the spirits of her team- What better way to do that than to bake for them.....
Natalie finished her working day, which as I highlighted had been full of disruption, she went shopping and purchased baking ingredient for enough cakes for the whole of the following day. She baked into the night to ensure that all the station would have a freshly baked cakes the following day.
This may seem like a really small gesture, but her care for her fellow team mates is a shining example as to how great she is. Caring for each other is such a great quality to have, and sometimes it’s these nuggets of kindness makes for great teams.
Natalie genuinely cares about the team she works with, not only is she a great employee- shes an employee who genuinely looks out for the well-being of everyone. I visited the station days after she did this and everyone said how great she was and how she had really made them smile the following day.“
