Said the following about Mary Doody-Jenkins:

“In 2016 Infrastructure Projects in Network Rail was faced with 3 major programmes coming to an end within a 3-year period. This would potentially put 760 people at risk of redundancy!

Mary, Rachael, Maggie and Sam were about to put a process in place that had never been done before in Network Rail. Between them they needed change ways of working across 4000 people, collaborate with multiple cross functions departments and influence the business to ensure that their idea was realised and everyone too notice – not an easy job in any company.

They set up focus groups and consulted with the union to ensure they delivered a process to retain as many of the 760 employees as possible. This process took working together, challenging the norm, collaborating, with hard work and sweat to find a path.

Even through this project is now well in motion with over 300 people retained about 80% I think it’s important to look back and remember the hard work it took to get it off the ground.“
