“Lucinda is the Area Manager for Southeasten High Speed Department, using her leadership skills, she has steered the department in another successful year, reaching a company high in the NRPS. The High Speed team are also the only department to achieve the company objective of 85% satisfaction score by 2018.

Lucinda has lead the team from the front and has never hid away from rolling up her sleeves and helping out her staff and her passengers, no matter the time of day. Lucinda continues to inspire all her staff through the good and bad times, encouraging them to achieve the best they can on a daily basis for our passengers.“

“Lucinda is the Area manager of the High Speed route for Southeastern.

Not only does Lucinda work hard to make the passenger experience the best it can be she is somebody who cares about her team and the stations she runs.

Working with other partners Lucinda has managed to focus on the Health and Wellbeing of her staff by arranging for healthy eating vending machines and assisting in arranging health and wellbeing courses.

She has also been a massive part in the success of the London stadium, assisting in delivering the World Athletics championships, summer concerts and West Ham football games.

Her positive attitude and willingness to lead from the front has had a great impact on all those who work with her.“

“Lucinda is the epitome of a modern railway manager, professional, safety aware, customer focussed and above all inclusive. She recognises that the modern railway is the sum of its parts and she works tirelessly to bring together track, train and stations to help provide an end to end positive journey experience for customers.

She is immensely supportive of her staff praising recognition and personally making the time to visit the front-line to muck in when things don't go to plan. Lucy isn't a manager who sits in an Ivory Tower issuing instructions she transcends the gap, learns from the staff on the ground and fights to get improvements that make things easier for everyone. Better wayfinding, remote mics, cooling fans, better asset management and communications are all areas where Lucy has personally driven cost effective solutions and by winning by inches helped keep our stations at the pinnacle of customer satisfaction and experience. Nobody will beat the passengers independently voiced scores for Lucy's stations and at the end of the day isn't that that true guide for the 2028 Rail Manager of the Year?“
