Said the following about Lauren Flint:

“In May 2018, a Chiltern Railways employee known as Alistair Buchan, noticed a female very close to the Platform. This female came across very timid and reluctant to engage in conversation. He highlighted his concerns to Lauren Flint, who along with Desmond Cooper (security guard) approached the female in question. As they were approaching the platform, she sat down on the edge.

Alistair signalled to the approaching train with hand signals to stop, Lauren and Desmond grabbed her and pulled her to safety.

Concerned for her safety and welfare, BTP was called. Lauren and three other females known as Rachel Hall, Danielle Harper and Amelia Lloyd made a decision to take the female to a private meeting room, to ensure she was comfortable and safe. They stayed with her until the police arrived.

Lauren had built up a great rapport with this distress female in such a short time and offered her reassurance, which allowed the female to open up.

I generally believe without the great team work and the staff being vigilant, this could have ended in a different scenario. The staff displayed professionalism and empathy to what was a very upsetting situation for all parties involved.““
