“I have nominated Laura and Ann from Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth stations as they both work reverently together to campaign and raise money for charity via their local stations and communities. This generates great engagement, but more importantly they have raised over £1,500 this year alone for; Help an East Coast Child, the Poppy Appeal, Breast Cancer, Children in Need and McMillan charities. They achieve this through local cake bake sales, raffles and collections. They go above and beyond every year and have recently had the local Beach (Anglian) radio visit to provide them with charitable t-shirts to support what they do. They are positive, kind and work relentlessly for good causes, making their customers smile too!“

“Laura and Ann's efforts to fundraise for Help An East Coast Child - one 'arm' of the Anglian Radio Trust - have been exceptional. They have taken every opportunity (from holiday periods such as Easter to themed days such as National Lollipop Day) to encourage donations and, as a result, raised a significant amount for disadvantaged children in the Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft area. Their enthusiasm and inventiveness has been exceptional and the Trust considers itself very lucky to have such support.

We are a small charity and, in addition to the fundraising, they have also increased awareness of the help we can provide for items, or support for events, that families would not otherwise be able to afford.

There are many families with disadvantaged children in the area whose quality of life has significantly improved thanks to Ann and Laura's efforts.“
