Said the following about Kevin Dodd:

“Has worked tirelessly for several years now to raise money for the Lets Join Hands Appeal, raising money for “When you wish upon a Star”, “Rethink” and “Veterans Breakfast Club” – a charity close to his heart after serving in the forces. He has now raised over £10K, and exceeded his target, through fundraising, bucket shakes, raffles and the Christmas Extravaganza, inviting celebrity performers and organising a raffle and auction with fabulous highly sought after prizes which he has collected himself throughout the year.

His passion and enthusiasm is unfaltering and the amount of time and energy he puts into the organisation of the events is immense. He has now established relationships within the community including the local Well Spring centre a shelter for the homeless in Stockport and the Veterans Breakfast Club - of which he volunteers at both.

Through his volunteer work and his experience in the forces Kevin is able to identify, understand and relate to those in vulnerable positions, which has been demonstrated at work, on several occasions he has spotted agitated customers, kept his eye on them, and approached them when they are acting erratically. On a couple of occasions he has prevented customers from attempting to take their own lives just by observing their behaviours and genuinely caring about their wellbeing.“
