Said the following about Katrina-Rose Allen:

““Katrina has shown a passion to inspire others into the rail industry and engineering”

Katrina is a 3rd year Apprentice and started as an Apprentice with Govia Thameslink Railway in 2016, and is working towards a Level 3 Traction & Rolling Stock Apprenticeship. Katrina achieved distinctions in all units whilst studying a BTEC level 3 in Engineering.

Her passion for the rail industry, maturity, and drive is an inspiration to her colleagues and fellow Apprentices. This passion has led her to give talks at Schools and job fairs about her experiences in her own time, inspiring the future generation to be part of our industry. Katrina has also been key in providing a link between young people looking for a career in the rail industry by taking time to be interviewed by a group of jobseekers. Her commitment and passion was highlighted again when asked to be part of our Engineering Apprentice Recruitment film. Katrina was happy to put in many extra hours along with fellow Apprentices to create an outstanding recruitment video.

Katrina always demonstrates a willingness to go the extra mile to inspire other young people, and has often given up her own time to do this.“
