“Gary has been in his current role as Events Co-ordination Manager for around 18 months and in that time he has made a real impact in supporting our front line teams with some challenging and busy services that we have linked to Football traffic and major events that touch us on the west Coast Main Line.

He has so far done an amazing job in reviewing anti-social behaviour and overcrowding on football trains and made strong relationships with Football clubs up and down the country so we at Virgin Trains can work with them to ensure that travelling fans behave and enjoy their journey with. He Has also opened up vital communication links with the club to allow us to get messages out to them around travel plans and relief services.

Working with the BTP to ensure we have them in the right place to ensure that our staff and Customers feel safe and secure on our trains and at our stations.

He has recruited and set up his own team of people 'Event Hosts' that work alongside our front line team on busy days to ensure fans enjoy their day and other customers enjoy their experience too.
