“During a plain line renewal site, Fred received a phone call from the signaller asking if he would help look for a reported suicidal female somewhere near the station. At first he struggled to find the girl but continued to look until he was either 100% sure she was gone or in this case found. Fred took nearly an hour to get to the exact location as the girl was well hidden, dressed all in black with her head covered. Once he found the girl the challenge had only just began, now he was in an unprecedented place with a small petite distressed young person, Fred realised as he is 6 foot that this person could have got even more distressed. He gained her confidence and got her back to his vehicle and offered assistance in calling for help and convinced her that help was required, the police were called and both sat patiently waiting. The police arrived and took the lady to hospital“
