“Duncan is a Team Leader on the platform at Glasgow Central with almost 40 years’ service within the rail industry. There is nothing he hasn't seen or had to deal with! He is a constant presence out and about with the team, consistently steering them to deliver excellence for our customers. Problem solving comes easy to Duncan and he is in his element when there is disruption. Storm Ali? Storm Hector? No problem for Duncan. He'll help co-ordinate traincrew/buses/taxi's everything! And he's always smiling too!!!
The team respect him and know when he is on duty that he has their backs both on the platforms and the Travel Centre supporting them throughout. He has built up relationships with all of our TOC colleagues and Network Rail too over the years, so that we can rely on the wider team. For me personally i know that if i need a job doing, Duncan will absolutely do it and do it well. He has supported me many times, and rises to any challenge i set him.
