Said the following about Denis Gozgar and Steve Smith:

“Whilst Denis and Steve were at the Station they received a call from gate line staff member Gareth via the station radio informing them that a member of the public had approached him saying that there may be a vulnerable female in the station.

Platform staff member Tony heard this radio transmission and informed them that there was a female matching the description given on the platform. As they made their way onto the platform they could see the female in question,

“We approached the female to speak with her as a train was coming towards platform as soon as the female saw this she made her way to the edge of the platform. We ran up to her and took hold of her bringing her away from the edge just as the train passed through”.

Once away from the edge of the platform they sat her down and ask what the problem was, to which she said that she was going to jump in front of the train when asked why the female replied that she wants to kill herself.

The female’s partner arrived on platform and said that he was going to take her home. We explained to him that because his girlfriend has stated that she wants to kill herself we now have a duty of care and advised him not to allow her to leave the station. The female became really aggressive and said she wanted to go home. She also kept saying that she doesn't want to be arrested again. We kept reassuring her that she wasn't going to be arrested but we will get her the help she needs.

Police arrived on site and detained the female for further questioning and further assessments.“
