Said the following about Dawn Nash:

“Dawn was a great leader when her train broke down just outside of Exeter St David's on the 13th September 2018. I was on board that train and was a witness to how she was always trying to deal with things the best way, collaborating with colleagues, on the phone or in person to provide customers the best experience possible within this unfortunate event.

Dawn maintained customers informed and calm about the situation, and was able to delegate and maintain her leader role to ensure we all got the best direction on what to do in those circumstances.

All our GWR values where displayed on the way she handled the situation on that day. I was very proud to be part of the team of people that was there able to help, under her guidance.

Customer’s feedback have been fantastic on the way all the colleagues handled this situation, but this is mostly thanks to Dawn's leadership and guidance on that day. She knew who to turn to when trying to find the best solution and made customers feel safe, and reassured them with every on board announcement that she and her team where working hard on getting the matter resolved as fast and as safely as possible.“
