“I choose to nominate
Stuart Martin (Network Rail) Health and Safety professional
Simon Watson (Network Rail) Assistant CDM
Keith Morey (Network Rail) CDM integration manager
All three members work for the CASR/PTSR within the Newport Crindau office
The H+S Team above have shown to be resourceful and respectful working with, and in most cases within other companies. They plan insightful health and safety events yearly that intrigues and encourages conversation and experiences as well as new innovations. The team imbue their own feelings and experiences into the project leading to a very passionate conversations that ring home and encourages emotional connections
A member of the team, dealing with depression due to stress of the role from banter given to him in the past on occasions, has spoken up on various events and times explaining how he combated his depression by opening up to another member of the team leading to a bond not broken today.
To this, and my own personnel experience with the team as a new member of Balfour beauty H+S, the Network Rail team above has built me a foundation to work upon encouraging me and directing me in my newly acquired role to never slack leading to myself giving the same attention and dedication they show themselves
On their own they are individuals but working together, they are a team, a family, and a form of support for each other. This in my eyes, embodies something that is very rare in this current climate and to that I’d like to nominate this team and get them the praise they deserve it may not be easy but they do what needs to be done when no one else will.
As I leave the CASR project to other projects I wish them the best and the praise they deserve.“
