“I started my first day as a Special Police Constable with the British Transport Police in 2016 and was placed at Victoria Station. I walked in as a new recruit rather nervous, however I was welcomed with open arms to the team.
I can honestly say I have never been so proud to work alongside a team of the most amazing people. Every single officer at Victoria brings a special quality to the team and together they face some of the most dangerous situations and at times risking their own lives.
There are times when they are faced with very sad situations such as people suffering with mental health, suicidal individuals and fatalities and they show nothing but empathy and compassion.
Above all even when faced with such challenging situations they remain resilient and positive and well and truly deserve to be recognised for everything they do.
